American Made – American Jobs

Buy American Made Bumper Sticker
Time for another rant about American made products versus the cheap garbage made by children is windowless sweatshops for Wal-Mart and Target and all the other anti-American, unpatriotic venders of plastic crap.

Never, for one second, forget that every penny you spend at Wal-Mart goes directly to the Walton family and China and that the poor drudges that are employed there are never allowed to organize or even complain for fear of immediate dismissal.  So, as in all things American, your vote is useless since the government is now openly owned by corporations and the wealthy.  Thus, you can vote with your dollars and buy cheap crap from China or buy well made products that are American made and that keep every penny you spend right here employing Americans, paying taxes, supporting your schools and fire departments and everything else that is great about America.

Below is a simple list of places you can shop for just about anything and be sure that your money stays here where it belongs.  I’m not recommending one over another nor am I listing them in any order save for the order I discovered them in.  The selection is amazing and, while some are too overtly patriotic for my tastes, their products are still American made and that is good enough to get them listed here.

I’ll be honest. I’m going to list my stores first since sales from those stores support the work of this blog.  But all of these places are excellent resources.

American Made Products

Cafe Press

Some of these products are not originally American Made but the designs are nearly all American Made and all applications are done in Kentucky by American workers and they offer a pretty good selection of clothing that is American made start to finish. You can find an almost limitless variety of designs ranging from clothing for Progressives to Buddhists to Progressive Christians to silly and adult to Filipino designs to Birthday gifts and much, much more in the marketplace.

The Union Shop

Are you a union member?  Do you know someone who is?  You can chose from a long list of unions and every product is American Made by American union members and their prices are really very competitive. If you are here to shop at one of their Union specialty stores, please choose from the menu to the left of the opening page. IAFF, IBEW, IAM, NATCA, UAW, VSEA, and Teamsters are just a few of the online specialty stores they have online. Since there is no fee for a dedicated store, your local, company, or organization could have one either here or on any of their other shops. A Partial list of Unions they work with includes AFT, AFSCME, APWU, BMWE, CSEA, CWA, IAFF, IAM, IAMAW, IATSE, IBEW, IBT, IUE, LECET, LIUNA, NATCA, OCSEA, PFT, SMWIA, TWU, UAW, UNITE, VSEA as well as Labor Councils, and many other who support USA Made products.

American Made Products and/or Services Made in USA

Here you will find information, a data base of American Made products and a search engine to find exactly what you’re looking for.  As their page says, “The MadeInUSA!(sm) Organization is dedicated to bringing the jobs and prosperity back to the United States of America. Your help in developing and maintaining this database will assist our efforts to accomplish this goal. The Service Mark of “MADEinUSA!” is your indication that most of the product or service is performed here in America.”  They also offer news and opinions articles concerning American Made products and the damage that cheap crap from China is doing to our nation.  Even the majority of the Google Ads lead to other American Made stores.

Made in America Store

Made in America Store’s mission is simple. “The Made in America Store opened on April 3, 2010. Located just 20 minutes from Buffalo and less than an hour from Niagara Falls, NY, it is the only general merchandise store in the country that sells 100% American Made Products, down to the packaging. Our mission is to restore U.S. manufacturing jobs by providing American consumers a brick & mortar store and e-commerce site that guarantees that each product sold is entirely American in materials and labor.”  They sell Clothing and Accessories, Grocery Items, Toys and a ton of other products and they are ALL AMERICAN MADE!!

So, now you have more ways to spend your money right here in America buying American Made products that support your nation, your state, your community, your schools, everything that was once great about America and can be again.  Sending your money to multi-billionaires that screw their employees and send your money out the country does NOT support anything American.  It’s your choice.  You know your vote doesn’t count but your dollars are heard very loudly and clearly.  Make your statement.

Well, ya know that y’all is definitely a sreihuontsm. The midwesterners were probably exposed to the contagion by those of us who escaped. That probably accounts for half of your 20% Dixie right there. Strangely enough my scores are very similar and I grew up in NC. 60% General, 25% Dixie, 10% Yankee, 5% Upper Midwest.
